The Traveler Beer Company is a brewery based in Burlington Vermont and was launched in 2012. The Traveler Beer Company was founded by Alan Newman who created Alchemy and Science along with Stacey Steinmetz. Alchemy and Science is an independent operating subsidiary of Boston Beer Company.
The mission of The Traveler Beer Company is to combine the European Shandy tradition with American ingenuity to create The American Craft Shandy. The shandys that they produce contain a light, crisp, fruity flavor.
They are most known for their year round citrus shandy, the Curious Traveler, which is infused with lemon and lime. They have also recently started producing another year round grapefruit shandy, called the Illusive Traveler. The Traveler Beer Company also produces three seasonal beers Time Traveler, Jack-o Traveler, and Jolly Traveler. The Time Traveler is their summer seasonal shandy. It has a light strawberry flavor to it. The Jack-o Traveler is their fall seasonal beer. The Jack-o Traveler is a wheat ale made with real pumpkin. The Jolly Traveler is their winter ale. This beer contains orange and holiday spice. These crafts all contain a 4.4% ABV and are sold in bottle and draft throughout the United States.
